Chindwin Home Based Care-SLA

CHBC-SLA  is a local organization composed of a group of women who want to improve the livelihoods of vulnerable families by mobilizing women groups to become economically empowered and resilient. Our social change is to see every woman in our catchment area to realize their rights and become champions of change.

CHBC-SLA is all about helping families improve on economic livelihoods and to help the poor, orphans and people infected by HIV/AIDS

What we do and why we do it

- Women are the most marginalized in society. Working with women to become reslient is what we focus our energey on.

- We realize that children become victims of abuse and neglect in many families while girls are exploited. CHBC-SLA  supports marginalized children in Kabwe to go to school and have an opportunity in life

-Because of the closure of the Zinc and Lead Mine in the 80s most people were affected economically and socially. We are continuing to mobilize families to challenge the local authorities on the impact of poor health services after the closer of the mines.

Who We Are

CHBC-SLA was established in 2007 to help build the resilience of women and children from impoverished families. Our goal is to have women realize their potential to become economically viable citizens to overcome the many challenges they face in society.

CHBC-SLA has committed, trustworthy individuals who have dedicated their lives and time to help those in need-Women are a force of change-Once you provide income and skills to a woman, "everything changes"
